Country Calm
Life on the Property
Mountain Lake Lodge is a family-owned rural retreat set on 2.5 peaceful acres at the edge of Stratford. With views toward Mt Taranaki, a private lake, gardens and a small farm feel, it’s a place shaped by care, connection and a genuine love for the land.
The lodge sits among established gardens and a growing veggie patch. Chickens wander the grounds, ducks gather by the lake, and Ollie the dog keeps a gentle watch over it all.
Mornings are quiet, often accompanied by birds on the water. Days drift by watching the weather move across the mountain, and on clear nights the stars shine brightly across the wide Taranaki sky.
It’s a semi-rural setting just minutes from Stratford township — close to everything, yet peacefully removed.
Rural Calm
Life at the Lodge
Days here are shaped by the quiet rhythm of rural life — ducks on the lake, chickens wandering the gardens, and Mt Taranaki standing watch over the landscape.
Slow down, unwind and enjoy the simple comforts of the countryside while exploring everything the Taranaki region has to offer.
